Accommodation

Where you live is key to your happiness and academic success. Whether you prefer the independence of a student residence or the familiarity of homestay, our accommodation options are chosen to offer you the flexibility of choice and quality you deserve.

Homestay

One of our most popular accommodation options, homestay allows you to integrate into family life and practise your English language outside the classroom, over dinner and throughout the weekend with your welcoming hosts. This is a unique way to live and study at your chosen destination.

Student houses

Similar to a residence but offering more independence, you will live with other students but on a smaller scale than in a residence, allowing you to build lasting friendships with your house mates. Fully furnished and equipped for self-catering.

Summer Residence

This option offers you all the benefits of homestay, but with the comfort and convenience of a personal bathroom and a higher standard of accommodation.

I am the newest member of the Brighton Stafford House academic team, having arrived in August 2014. My teaching career started in 2001 and I have taught in the UK, France, Belgium and Italy. I obtained my Diploma in TESOL in 2013 and have been involved with academic management since 2007. My love of language started when I was very young and my job allows me to share that enthusiasm with people. I have a BA in French and as a language learner (I have just started learning Italian!) I know the problems that learners can face.

Living in Brighton is very enjoyable and I love the fact that there are so many different things to do here. The Stafford House Brighton centre is a great place to work as I get to meet so many different types of people and it has a relaxed atmosphere.

Teachers here are very experienced and they are very supportive! They listen to everyone and organise lessons in a way that it is useful to all. My vocabulary is growing and that’s very important for my future studies in civil engineering. I am very confident in my progress.

The school is perfectly located and has a great timetable! The teachers here are very good! I’m confident in my progress and hope to get a higher IELTS score than what I actually need for University. I made a lot of multinational friends from all over the world in the school which I haven’t really expected before I came here.

The school is great – I enjoy the classes and we have a nice student lounge where we can spend time with our friends, have lunch, play football table! I enjoy exploring the city and find interesting hidden galleries, shops and pubs.

“I love to travel and wanted to improve my English because it’s the world’s language. My time at Stafford House really helped me a lot to talk to people from other countries and understand different accents. The classes at School of English are fun! We play lots of games and I felt immediately welcome.”

Stafford House is a great school! I’m doing very well, my English is progressing very fast. When I came here I didn’t know any English and in a month and half that I’ve been here I’ve progressed to Intermediate level. Teachers here are amazing and lessons are fun – we are playing games and doing exercises but at the same time learning English and grammar! I’ve made a lot of friends here from different nationalities. We hang out a lot to practise our English more. There is a great social programme and I love Brighton! Student house is a great place to live! The bedrooms are big and it’s very clean and I keep socialising even when I’m at home.

Brighton is like a paradise for me. Very easy to move around the city and easy to reach London and other places when you want to because of the transport links. I found it very easy to make friends, I’m an outgoing person so I like talking but we go out all the afternoon and in the evening together, or have lunch in a group. You can meet people everywhere and talk with anyone, Brighton is a friendly city.

  • Wei

The school is very good and the lessons are very useful and I’m improving my English. After school there are a lot of activities – the social programme is very good. I can make new friends and do a lot of things I didn’t do before. Like yesterday we went to play laser tag! It was very fun. I live in a host family and I’m very happy there – my host farther is very friendly and he cooks very well! Brighton is perfect!
