Reception
This is where we welcome you on your first day, and give you any advice about your course or your stay with us in Canterbury. The receptionist knows the area well and can help you settle in to Canterbury quickly. There is also comfortable seating, free wifi, and information about what attractions you can visit around Canterbury. The Reception was fully refurbished in December 2010.
Classrooms
All of our 12 permanent classrooms have Interactive Whiteboards (from Jan 2011) to allow our teachers to use the latest technology in your learning experience. We can use the internet integrally in our classes giving you practical examples of how to use your language in the 21st Century. We can also watch High Definition videos. They are a perfect environment for helping you to learn English. The classrooms were fully refurbished in December 2010.
Student Café
This is the main social space of the school, which was completed in 2010. Here you can get a coffee and some food in breaks or inbetween classes. There is free wifi and a TV so you can catch up on what is happening in the world. We also run some social events in this space. Angela runs the café and is also a local of Canterbury, so feel free to ask him questions about the area.
Study Centre
This is where you can come and check your e-mails, do your homework, borrow reading material and spend time outside of your classes improving your English. You can use one of the 15 PCs available or bring your laptop and use the free wifi. We have a good range of learning materials available to borrow or to purchase. Don’t forget your main course book is included in the fees.
Outdoor Patio
Our patio has picnic tables and flowers (looked after by one of our green fingered teachers). In summer we have barbeques and it’s another great space for you to socialise with your new friends and practise speaking English with the other students.
