Stafford House School of English was founded in 1952. With 60 years of experience and success behind us, we remain focused on maintaining the highest standards and on the development of each student's full potential.

Central London

London is a truly global city. Home to an infinite variety of attractions, shops and restaurants. Our school is situated in the heart of the city, right next to Holborn tube station and 5 minutes walk from the British Museum, Oxford Street and the famous Covent Garden. You can combine your stay in London with one in our sister school in Canterbury.

Highly qualified teachers

All our permanent teaching staff hold a Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) or equivalent. This is an advanced English teaching qualification that shows the exceptional quality and ability of the staff at the School.

Personalised learning

We aren’t a massive, impersonal English language centre. Our classes are small, with an average of 10 (max 14) students. You can be sure there is always a good mixture of nationalities, and that English is spoken, rather than your native language. You will also get regular personal feedback on your progress. From this you have the opportunity to discuss your changing needs and make any changes to your programme or choice of options.
