  • Ishmael Johnson

    Director of Studies

I began my career in education at an early age; drawn in by a childhood dream to become a university professor. My experience working as an Instructional Assistant in a Sylvan Learning Center prior to attending university enabled an easy transition to the position of Peer Mentor in the Student Services Department of my university. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Philosophy and Russian Area Studies, I applied myself to the greatest opportunity I believe available to our generation: the teaching of English as a Second or Foreign language. My love for the City of Boston and its atmosphere of education nourishes my desire to become a better teacher and administator; allowing for the continued and extraordinary success of every student in our hallways.
