Part time or full time online and in school CELTAs

You can complete your CELTA either online or face-to-face, full-time or part-time — without compromising on academic standards or certification quality.

All courses meet Cambridge requirements and include a minimum of 120 contact hours.

Full-time (Online or in-school)

4 weeks | Minimum 120 contact hours | Daily classes | Assessed teaching practice

Early Bird discount available when paid in full at least 21 days before the course start date.

Part-time Online

6–13 weeks | Online teaching practice | Live input sessions | Flexible self-study modules

Yes. CELTA is often considered the gold‑standard entry qualification and is widely requested by language schools worldwide. It can open doors to teaching jobs both in the UK and internationally.

Do I need to have great grammar knowledge to join CELTA?

No. You don’t need expert grammar knowledge at the start; CELTA is designed to teach you how language works and how to explain it clearly. A basic awareness of grammar is helpful, but the course builds this step by step.

Do I need to have teaching experience before starting my CELTA?

No. CELTA is an initial teacher training qualification and is suitable for people with little or no previous teaching experience. It is also ideal for in-service teachers looking for some great development.
