Teacher Training Short Courses
Alongside CELTA and DELTA, Stafford House International offers a range of Teacher Training Online Short Courses. These courses are designed to support continuous professional development for both newly qualified and experienced teachers.
About our short courses
Our Teacher Training Short Courses are delivered online from our London Teacher Training centre and led by highly experienced CELTA and DELTA-qualified trainers. Courses focus on developing practical skills for specific teaching contexts and specialisms.
Each course includes 15 hours of live online input via Zoom, interactive activities, and guided discussion. There is no assessment or teaching practice. On successful completion, participants receive a Stafford House certificate.
Please note: a minimum of four participants is required for each course to run.
Certificate in Teaching Business English
This course supports teachers who want to develop confidence and practical strategies for teaching Business English.
You will explore
- Business English contexts and learner needs
- Coursebooks and authentic materials
- Speaking skills for meetings, interviews, negotiations and telephoning
- Writing skills for emails, reports and memos
- Needs analysis and one-to-one teaching
- Business vocabulary, case studies and project work

Certificate in Teaching Exam Courses
This course focuses on the skills and strategies needed to teach exam preparation classes effectively.
You will explore:
- Key differences between exam classes and General English
- Classroom management and learner autonomy
- Teaching IELTS and Cambridge exams
- Understanding band descriptors and marking criteria
- Teaching TOEFL and TOEIC
- Planning lessons and full exam preparation courses
