Accommodation

Where you live is key to your happiness and academic success. Whether you prefer the independence of a student residence or the familiarity of homestay, our accommodation options are chosen to offer you the flexibility of choice and quality you deserve.

Homestay

One of our most popular accommodation options, homestay allows you to integrate into family life and practise your English language outside the classroom, over dinner and during the weekend with your welcoming hosts. This is a unique way to live and study at your chosen destination.

At Stafford House we do all we can to ensure we match you with your perfect homestay. If you wish to truly experience British culture by staying at one of our homestays, please allow us 4 weeks before you arrive at the school to arrange your accommodation to ensure we can find a homestay experience best suited to you.

*London homestay accommodation is provided by third party agencies.

I’m really happy here, all the teachers that I have are very good and now that I’ve passed more time in the school and from the marks on different tests I can see that I’m progressing. I have a lot of friends in the school and they are from different nationalities and we can learn about different cultures.
And I really like people in London – they are very friendly!

"I’ve been learning English at Stafford House School of English since June. I studied in Canterbury School for two months and I’m studying in London for four months until December.

I studied in a relaxing environment in Canterbury and I could get used to living in Britain. There are lots of places to see in London. It is easy to access anywhere in Britain from London. I’m learning not only English but lots of things now. I talk to teachers and staff if I have some problems. They kindly help me every time.”

“London seemed like the most obvious place to study English and it’s been brilliant. I’ve been able to experience life and study in a fantastic city. The staff have been so incredibly welcoming and making new friends has been easy.”

I really enjoyed studying at Stafford House School of English. I met a lot of new people from many different countries, learning lots about their cultures as I had to speak in English to make friends. The school is so beautiful - an old building but with great facilities - library, a computer room, Wi-Fi access - and very polite staff that help you every time you need it. Also because we studied in smaller classes it meant the teacher was able to follow and help every one of us.

I work in an international company in France, as a lawyer, and I need English in my day-to-day work. I came here because I needed to gain confidence in my English, my speaking and presentation skills. I had to immerse myself in an English speaking culture. The teachers here are very good and professional, their methods and techniques are great. In class we are between 5 to 10 students which is very good because the teacher has the time for everyone. You can really ask every question you have and they are always keen to help you. I’ve made a lot of friends and we’ll stay in touch for sure. It was a very worthwhile experience.

We have a good mixture of content in our morning class, such as speaking, listening, writing and reading. Everyone has the chance to express and to bring new ideas. Our teacher listens to everyone and arranges the lesson so that it is beneficial to all. I feel very confident in my improvement. Outside of class the range of activities is wide and the local tour was awesome!

I was in Stafford House for 3 months and it was the best time of my life! Here you can find students from all over the world and teachers who have great interests and great knowledge. They all take you under their wings and they become a part of your life! And the worst part is you have to leave them behind… I enjoyed everything – every single moment of my lessons, my breaks, my teachers and my friends so I hope to come back again!
