Accommodation

Where you live is key to your happiness and academic success. Whether you prefer the independence of a student residence or the familiarity of homestay, our accommodation options are chosen to offer you the flexibility of choice and quality you deserve.

Homestay

One of our most popular accommodation options, homestay allows you to integrate into family life and practise your English language outside the classroom, over dinner and throughout the weekend with your welcoming hosts. This is a unique way to live and study at your chosen destination.

  • Kelsey Harrington

    Student Services Manager

I am an Essex girl born and bred, don't let the reputation fool you! I am relatively new to this position and am excited to be working with both all of you students and staff as well. I have lived in a few places around the UK and love travelling abroad. Hopefully I will get to live abroad one day so feel free to come and convince me to move to your, no doubt beautiful hometowns.

  • Laureline Galiny

    Director of Studies

I first discovered what a language school was when I did an internship as part of my Applied Linguistics Master’s degree. I worked as an activity coordinator, a receptionist and a marketing assistant in a small family-run language school in the centre of Wellington, New Zealand. This is when I decided I wanted to play a part in the English Learning world! Nothing makes me happier than to see students noticing their progress and growing on a linguistic and personal level. I hope to meet you soon at Stafford House Cambridge!

  • Madeleine Boldero Rito

    Assistant Director of Studies

Having finished my undergraduate degree in Hispanic and Latin American Studies I decided that teaching English would enable me to travel the world while working. I moved back to Lisbon in 2007, where I had studied for years and completed my CELTA and found a job at a busy language school. I taught students of all ages, from 5 to 80, and loved the variety of levels and ages. I returned to the UK to be closer to home and to study more about EFL teaching. I am really glad I made the move as working here has meant I have met great students, from all over the world! There's never a dull day here!

  • Mike Ward

    Principal

I’m Mike and I’ve been in the English language teaching industry for 25 years –I love it! I’ve been working in Cambridge for 15 years, so I’m familiar with the city and all the things that contribute to a great student experience, from accommodation to social activities and feeling safe and happy in a new place. Here at Stafford House Cambridge we have a strong focus on learning and will work extremely hard to ensure students achieve their learning objectives.

Before coming to Cambridge I worked as a Teacher Trainer and before that I spent ten years as a teacher in Turkey, Italy and South Korea. My strongest memory is the kindness of strangers and now as Principal I can guarantee a warm welcome and on-going support from the excellent team in Cambridge.

  • Pixie Ha

    Student Services Officer

Twelve years ago, I was a young lady with an amazing opportunity. For the first time, I travelled to the UK to undertake a two-week English course with CATS. The stimulating experience of a new culture, new people, and the challenge of communicating in a foreign language were extremely fulfilling. This highly enjoyable, yet all too brief, time in Cambridge impacted greatly on the course of my life. My main aim is to ensure that students feel fully supported, welcomed and able to fulfil their potential during their stay as I myself did 12 years ago!
